Position Overview
Reporting directly to the Senior VP of Human Resources, The Recruiter/Onboarding Specialist will lead full-cycle recruitment efforts to attract, source, and hire top talent across the organization. In addition to driving recruiting strategies, this role will manage the onboarding process to ensure a successful onboarding experience. When recruiting activities do not require full time focus, the role will support the HR function with HR generalist activities. The ideal candidate is passionate about all things recruiting and a proactive, relationship-driven professional that enjoys connecting people with opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition (Primary Focus)
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop recruiting strategies.
- Work with the Sr VP of HR to write engaging job descriptions and post roles across appropriate channels.
- Proactively source candidates through job boards, social media, networking, individual sourcing and referrals.
- Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate hiring manager interviews.
- Manage the candidate experience from application to offer acceptance, ensuring timely communication.
- Prepare offer letters, conduct reference checks and manage all pre-employment and onboarding activities and requirements.
- Track and report recruiting metrics, such as time-to-fill and pipeline health.
- Handle prompt scheduling for all stages of the interview process from start to finish.
- Build and maintain a talent pipeline for future hiring needs.
- Manage the new hire onboarding and orientation process to ensure a smooth transition from candidate to employee.
HR Generalist Support (Secondary Focus)
- Assist with payroll and benefits administration, employee relations, and compliance.
- Work on special projects such as maintenance of employee records and HRIS systems data integrity, as needed.
- Provide administrative support for performance management processes and compliance initiatives.
- Partner with the HR team to provide general administrative support.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years full-cycle recruiting experience; HR generalist exposure preferred, but willing to train the right person.
- Experience recruiting technical and non-technical positions across all departments and all levels of roles supporting an operations and manufacturing setting.
- Highly adept communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence and build relationships.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven proficiency with ATS, HRIS, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexible to adjust to changing needs or priorities.
