About this Role

A premier Am Law 10 firm's Chicago office is seeking a mid-to-senior level Corporate Restructuring Associate with 3 -- 7 years of dedicated restructuring experience from a peer-tier BigLaw practice. Candidates should have significant experience representing debtors, plan sponsors, or lenders in large, complex Chapter 11 cases and out-of-court workouts. A strong track record in company-side/buy-side representations and liability management transactions is essential, along with excellent academic credentials from a top-tier law school.

What You'll Do:

• Manage complex Chapter 11 cases and out-of-court workouts with limited partner oversight
• Draft and negotiate sophisticated legal documents, including restructuring support agreements, forbearance agreements, and exchange offer documents
• Represent debtors, plan sponsors, and lenders in all phases of in-court and out-of-court restructurings
• Handle key aspects of 363 sales and plan sponsorship transactions
• Advise clients on sophisticated liability management transactions, such as exchange offers and consent solicitations
• Work closely with partners and clients to develop and execute restructuring strategies
