Job Summary

Corpus Christi Sign Company is looking for an experienced Sign Installer/Fabricator to join our team. The Sign Installer/Fabricator is a professional, solution-oriented individual who pays attention to detail, works well in a fast-paced team environment, and can efficiently manage many projects at once. We are looking for a positive individual with a growth mindset. The ideal candidate will be proficient with power and hand tools, capable of working at heights and on ladders, possess a strong mechanical aptitude, and can learn and work with vinyl materials. Additionally, experience with low-voltage LED lighting, soldering, and assembly is a plus. We highly value creativity so graphic design skills are a plus, but not required. As a Sign Installer/Fabricator you will play a crucial role in the production of high-quality signage, ensuring that our clients' visual communication needs are met with precision, craftsmanship, and innovative design.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sign Production:

• Fabricate, assemble, and install a variety of signage, including outdoor signs, banners, vehicle graphics, and more.

• Operate power tools, such as saws, drills, routers, and welding equipment, to cut, shape, and assemble sign components.

• Integrate low-voltage LED lighting into signage when applicable.

2. Vinyl Work:

• Work with vinyl materials, including cutting, weeding, and applying vinyl graphics to various substrates.

• Ensure precise placement and adherence of vinyl graphics to create visually appealing signage.

3. LED Lighting and Assembly:

• Install and wire low voltage LED lighting systems within signs, ensuring proper functionality and safety.

• Perform soldering and assembly work for electronic components and signage elements.

4. Creativity and Design:

• Apply creativity to the design and layout of signage to produce visually striking and unique solutions.

• Ability to use Adobe Illustrator and other design software to create designs for our projects is a plus.

5. Safety and Quality Assurance:

• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when working at heights and on ladders.

• Conduct quality checks to maintain the highest standards of craftsmanship and accuracy.

6. Maintenance and Repair:

• Maintain and repair sign-making equipment and tools as needed.

• Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.

7. Team Collaboration:

• Collaborate with other team members, including designers and installers, to ensure seamless sign production and installation.

• Communicate effectively with colleagues to meet project deadlines and client expectations.

8. Client Interaction & Answering Phones:

• Professionally represent the company when interacting with clients during phone calls, installations or site visits.

9. Any other duties or tasks requested by management or ownership necessary to deliver the highest quality customer service or signs for our clients.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools for sign fabrication.

• Comfortable working at heights, including using ladders and scaffolding.

• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to learn and work with vinyl materials, including vinyl cutting and application techniques.

• Experience with low-voltage LED lighting, soldering, and assembly is a strong plus.

• Strong creative design skills and an eye for detail.

• Knowledge of design software and ability to create designs is a strong plus.

• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

• Knowledge of safety protocols for working at heights and in sign production.

• At least 1-2 years of experience in sign making or a related field is required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry moderate to heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).

• Comfortable working in various weather conditions.

• Willingness to stand for extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour (based on experience)

Expected hours: 40 per week
