Our client, a healthcare company, is looking to bring on a Cost Accounting Manager to support their manufacturing operations and supply chain. This role will oversee cost reporting, variance analysis, new product costing, month-end close, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage cost accounting activities across manufacturing and supply chain, including standard cost development, variance analysis, and product costing
Prepare and review journal entries, inventory accruals, reconciliations, and variance reports as part of monthly close
Ensure bills of material and standard costs are accurate and updated for production
Investigate inventory adjustments and provide clear reporting to management
Partner with operations, supply chain, and quality teams to identify cost drivers and efficiency opportunities
Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and annual physical inventory processes
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required (CPA/CMA a plus)
6+ years of accounting experience, with a strong foundation in cost accounting or manufacturing finance
Background in healthcare or healthcare manufacturing is a plus
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and communicate financial results effectively
Knowledge of GAAP and inventory accounting
This is a hybrid role, 2-3 days onsite in Irvine or San Diego depending on candidate location.
