    JOB TITLE:                          INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN

    SUMMARY:

    • Candidate must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be highly motivated and responsible, and work well within a team environment or individually. Ideal candidates will possess problem-solving, troubleshooting, analytical and critical thinking capabilities and have the ability to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, install and update electrical systems and components. This position will require mandatory overtime periodically as well as weekend and holiday scheduling to work on preventative maintenance projects.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Follow all safety and good manufacturing practices (GMPs) at all times.
    • Responsible for maintenance of electrical equipment such as wiring, switches, switchboards and electrical mechanisms along with measuring, cutting, bending, assembling and installing electrical conduits.
    • Responsible for Installation, maintenance, and repairs of a variety of industrial electrical equipment used in the commercial bakery manufacturing for light, power and automatically controlled machinery such as transformers, circuit breakers, AC and DC motors, variable frequency drives, sensors, PLCs and HMIs, camera systems, robotics, temperature control systems, monitoring instrumentation and other electrical / electronic system
    • Responsible for Installation, repairs, preventive maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of combustion control equipment and construction.
    • Responsible for interpreting complicated wiring diagrams and schematic drawings and giving direction to others in the
    • Solves all electrical emergency problems or contacts supervisor for instructions.
    • Works in all areas of processing and packaging, as assigned, which includes being is close proximity to and crossing platforms over machinery.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE                   

    • Prior experience in a food manufacturing facility preferred (commercial bread manufacturing highly preferred)
    • Experience as an industrial electrician in a high-speed manufacturing or technical environment required.
    • Knowledge of NEC, OSHA, electronic test equipment, single and three phase electrical systems and wiring procedures to 600V required.
    • Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics and parts specifications.
    • Knowledge and some programming of PLCs (Allen Bradley), servo drives and VFDs in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
    • Knowledge of HMIs preferred. Must have effective communication skills and comfortable working with team members across the whole organization.

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must have own hand tools
    • Must pass a series of aptitude, written and hands-on tests.
    • Must be willing to work overtime and holidays as needed.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS                                              

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Able to communicate clearly to others in the organization.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS                                                    

    Strong mathematical skills.

    COMPUTER SKILLS                                              

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

    OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES                                            

    Project Management, problem solving and multi-tasking.
