We are looking for a Warehouse Laborer / Porter to join our team and help keep our warehouse and open showroom / office space clean and organized as well as help with lifting and moving of furniture and packing of fragile items. The successful candidate will be responsible for sweeping, mopping, dusting, and organizing (emptying trash cans, restocking supplies, and cleaning up spills) the warehouse and showroom spaces. They will also be responsible at times for driving between showroom and warehouse space, and logistics: moving and lifting furniture in the showroom, help with deliveries and receivables. We are looking for an individual who is reliable, detail-oriented as we work with fragile goods, has a strong work ethic and any handy-man experience is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Cleaning duties to maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the warehouse and showroom.

Move materials from one location to another, including heavy lifting at times.

Must be able to handle fragile items with care.

Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.

Accepting delivery of inventory.

Counting and confirming inventory.

Inspecting inventory for damage and faults.

Communicating errors to relevant parties.

Marking and labeling stock.

Storing inventory in accessible manner.

Able to take instructions from Logistics Managers.

Requirements:

Work experience as a general laborer, preferably in a warehouse.

Drivers License

Previous experience in a cleaning role

Previous experience in packing of fragile items

Ability to lift heavy furniture and handle fragile goods

Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance
