CNA for Central Supply/Staffing Coordinator for Skilled Nursing
Job Description
The Nursing Staff Scheduler / Central Supply Coordinator position maintains quality staffing efficiencies and par levels of nursing supplies. The qualified candidate for the Nursing Staff Scheduler / Central Supplies Coordinator must be organized and detail oriented. EXPERIENCE IN THE FIELD IS REQUIRED.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities of the Nursing Staff Scheduler / Central Supplies Coordinator include:
Creates (or follows) the master staffing schedule created by the DON or designee.
Communicates continuously with DON and ADON to ensure coordination of information and maintain accuracy of nursing schedule.
Prepares daily staffing sheets with continual revisions as necessary.
Performs attendance and paid time off administration for nursing staff.
Conduct routine inventory on a weekly basis to ensure par levels
Create a list of supplies needed and purchase materials to maintain an adequate inventory
Deal directly with all vendors
Prepare correspondences and claims concerning damaged merchandise, errors in shipment, etc., and return to vendor as required
Follow prescribed budget
Create and submit to the Business Office a complete billing statement for resident billing
Fill requisitions, as approved, and file in accordance with established policies and procedures
Only fill orders that are accompanied by a requisition that has all the necessary information, unless it is a life threatening situation
Properly scan product codes to fill orders and maintain an accurate inventory in an efficient manner
Deliver emergency supplies and equipment as directed
Organize storage, issue and delivery of supplies and equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures
Ensure various departments/residents are properly charged with supplies they have received for cost allocation purposes
Notify appropriate department when special orders have arrived
QUALIFICATIONS
Current CNA License
Must be a High School graduate or GED equivalent
Must have at least 1 year experience in the field
Must be detail-oriented with great organizational skills
Must have good computer skills
