    Job Description

    The Nursing Staff Scheduler / Central Supply Coordinator position maintains quality staffing efficiencies and par levels of nursing supplies. The qualified candidate for the Nursing Staff Scheduler / Central Supplies Coordinator must be organized and detail oriented. EXPERIENCE IN THE FIELD IS REQUIRED.

    JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

    The responsibilities of the Nursing Staff Scheduler / Central Supplies Coordinator include:

    • Creates (or follows) the master staffing schedule created by the DON or designee.

    • Communicates continuously with DON and ADON to ensure coordination of information and maintain accuracy of nursing schedule.

    • Prepares daily staffing sheets with continual revisions as necessary.

    • Performs attendance and paid time off administration for nursing staff.

    • Conduct routine inventory on a weekly basis to ensure par levels

    • Create a list of supplies needed and purchase materials to maintain an adequate inventory

    • Deal directly with all vendors

    • Prepare correspondences and claims concerning damaged merchandise, errors in shipment, etc., and return to vendor as required

    • Follow prescribed budget

    • Create and submit to the Business Office a complete billing statement for resident billing

    • Fill requisitions, as approved, and file in accordance with established policies and procedures

    • Only fill orders that are accompanied by a requisition that has all the necessary information, unless it is a life threatening situation

    • Properly scan product codes to fill orders and maintain an accurate inventory in an efficient manner

    • Deliver emergency supplies and equipment as directed

    • Organize storage, issue and delivery of supplies and equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures

    • Ensure various departments/residents are properly charged with supplies they have received for cost allocation purposes

    • Notify appropriate department when special orders have arrived

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Current CNA License

    • Must be a High School graduate or GED equivalent

    • Must have at least 1 year experience in the field

    • Must be detail-oriented with great organizational skills

    • Must have good computer skills
