    Cougar USA is seeking an on-site Assistant, Entry-Level Controller to oversee on-site, Houston F&A teams, as well as supporting the remote shared services F&A team. Our Assistant Controller will be crucial for delivering Cougar Promise daily, this role demands leadership, financial expertise, and alignment with Cougar's values, playing a key part in our financial success.

    Objectives:

    Leadership & Coordination:

    Develop financial strategies with CFO and senior leadership.

    Contribute to cross-functional teams and strategic decision-making. This role will primarily support the on-site team, however will occasionally support 2 other remote businesses financial management needs.

    Vendor Relationships:

    Nurture ties with financial vendors for efficient operations.

    Team Leadership:

    Lead F&A team with reporting to the off-site CFO, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.

    Coordinate with on-site IT for seamless financial system integration.

    Training Programs:

    Address skill gaps and implement training programs.

    Strategize with Human Resources Department and executive leadership.

    Financial Reporting:

    Oversee month-end close and maintain real-time KPIs and dashboards.

    Cost Control & Cash Flow:

    Manage cost control and optimize cash conversion cycle.

    Oversee payroll activities and related matters.

    Metrics/KPIs:

    Financial Close Days

    CCC (Cash Conversion Cycle)

    Gross Profit Dollars & Percentage
