Position Summary
The Production Editor is responsible for executing the editorial production functions for CSWE Press books and CSWE publications and overseeing the submission and peer review process for one scholarly journal.
The Production Editor plays a critical role with finalizing the production of written content, producing material that meets quality standards, and has materials readily available for publication. The incumbent should have strong attention to detail and portray the ability to collaborate effortlessly with others.

Manages the manuscript submission and review process via the ScholarOne online submission system.
Maintains communication with and onboards authors to ensure manuscript submission adherence to our submission guidelines.
Reads manuscripts and proofreads articles.
Shepherds peer review process, including approving manuscripts that qualify for peer review, matching manuscript submissions with appropriate reviewers, and recruiting and retaining reviewers.
Prepares manuscripts for production via our publisher, Taylor & Francis.
Corresponds with reviewers regarding submissions, changes in policy, and updated personal information.
Serves as primary liaison from the CSWE staff to the editor-in-chief and the Editorial Advisory Board and provides updates to the group or individual members as needed.
Negotiates and tracks performance of contract with JSWE’s publisher in partnership with the publications manager.
Maintains regular communication with publisher regarding consistent copyediting and proofreading of articles, subscriptions, marketing, online function, and other aspects of the journal’s overall performance.

This position is primarily sedentary and is performed in an office setting. May be required to use computer screen for extensive periods of time. The physical demands of this position are limited to the ability to use a computer,telephone and standard office equipment, move up to 25 lbs.; move articles used in program activities. Extended working hours and occasional travel within the United States may be necessary as well.
