We are a community-based adult day program focused on behavior management for adults with developmental disabilities. We provide vocational training, community integration, and personalized support to help our participants achieve their goals in a positive, engaging environment. We are currently hiring for the following positions, full-time 9:00-3:00 PM ( Monday–Friday). All roles require dedication, compassion, and experience in adult day programs for behavior management.
$500 sign-on bonus is offered

Location: ANAHEIM CA (on-site adult day program) Schedule: Full-time or Part-time (Monday–Friday, day shifts) Compensation: $22.00 – $25 per hour (DOE) + $500 sign-on bonus (conditions apply)
Job Summary: As a Direct Support Professional/Counselor DSP 1 or 2 ), you will provide direct care and skills training to adults with developmental disabilities in our behavior management day program. You will lead participants in vocational, community, and personal development activities that align with their Individual Program Plan (IPP) goals. Temperament is key – we are looking for someone patient, caring, and positive who truly wants to help others. You will be a mentor and support, ensuring participants’ safety, dignity, and progress each day.
Key Responsibilities: • Plan and implement daily program activities (vocational, community outings, life skills) tailored to each participant’s goals and abilities. • Provide hands-on support and coaching to participants during activities, fostering independence and skill development. • Assist participants with personal care needs (such as hygiene, toileting, and feeding) in a respectful manner, as all our participants require personal care assistance. • Monitor and redirect challenging behaviors using approved behavior support techniques; maintain a safe and positive environment at all times. • Build rapport and engage positively with participants – encourage communication, celebrate successes, and promote positive behavior. • Document each participant’s daily progress and behaviors; maintain accurate records and contribute to progress reports and team meetings. • Work collaboratively with the team (other counselors, case manager, behavior specialist) to follow behavior support plans and share insights on participant progress. • Ensure program policies and procedures are followed and contribute to a supportive, team-oriented workplace.
Qualifications: • Experience: 3–5 years of experience working in an adult day program with a behavior management focus required. (Experience must be directly with adults with developmental disabilities in a day program setting.) • Skills: Compassionate, patient, and energetic personality with strong teamwork and communication skills. Ability to remain calm and effective during behavioral incidents. • Language: Fluent English communication skills (speaking and writing) required. Bilingual in Arabic or French required (must be fluent in at least one: Arabic or French). • References: Ability to provide professional references that can verify your experience and work ethic. • Background & Health: Must pass a criminal background check. Must have a clear TB test (or be willing to obtain one). CPR certification is required (current accreditation or willingness to obtain before start). • Other Requirements: Minimum age 18 and authorized to work in the U.S. Physical ability to assist with personal care and lift at least 25 lbs. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is a plus (for transporting participants on community outings). • Do you have at least 3 years of experience working in an adult day program focused on behavior management? • Are you willing to undergo a criminal background check and TB test as required?
