    Licensed Counselor / Therapist – Make a Meaningful Impact Looking for a role where you can focus on people, not productivity quotas? The New Mexico Boys and Girls Ranches is a non-denominational Christian organization providing residential care, foster placement, and outpatient counseling services. We support both youth placed at The Ranches and families working to prevent out-of-home placement for their teens. We are seeking a licensed Counselor/Therapist to join our team at our location just south of Belen, New Mexico. Candidates must reside locally or within the state of New Mexico. Responsibilities: What You’ll Do • Provide individual, family, and group counseling to adolescents and their families • Deliver services without insurance billing requirements, allowing you to focus on client care, not productivity quotas • Provide case management support to foster families and youth in their care • Maintain accurate and timely program documentation and files • Assist with recruiting, training, and qualifying prospective foster parents • Learn and conduct S.A.F.E. home studies and required updates • Provide community education and outreach programs as needed Qualifications: What We’re Looking For • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field • Current New Mexico licensure (LMHC, LPCC, MSW, LISW, LCSW, or LMFT) • Strong oral and written communication skills, including interviewing and crisis intervention • Ability to provide a variety of therapeutic modalities with creativity and flexibility • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, collaborative team environment • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass required background checks Preferred (Not Required) • Bilingual in Spanish/English • A.F.E. home study certification (or willingness to complete training upon hire) Schedule Flexibility • Schedule is flexible based on client needs • Some evening hours may be required • Occasional on-call responsibilities may apply Why This Role Stands Out • Donor-funded services — no insurance billing requirements • Flexibility to meet client needs without productivity pressure • Opportunity to make a direct, lasting impact on youth and families • Supportive, mission-driven team environment Compensation • $46,000 – $60,000 annually (DOE), depending on experience and licensure level • Higher range available for independently licensed clinicians Compensation: $46,000 - $60,000 yearly DOE
