Location: National Capital Region (NCR) Clearance Required: Active SECRET (TS/SCI eligibility preferred) Employment Type: Full-Time Travel: CONUS and OCONUS (Indo-Pacific, including Singapore) Compensation: Target salary of $165,000 base, commensurate with experience
Position Summary
Cornerstone seeks a well-qualified candidate to serve as a Country Director Support Analyst, providing advisory and assistance services (A&AS) in direct support of the Secretary of the Air Force for International Affairs (SAF/IA) Country Director for the Republic of Singapore. The analyst supports the continuity, planning, coordination, execution, and oversight of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and broader security cooperation activities between the United States and Singapore.
The analyst functions as a trusted action officer and is responsible for day-to-day execution of an established country portfolio, coordination across the security cooperation enterprise, and preparation of senior-level decision materials. This role emphasizes mission continuity, discretion, and sustained stakeholder relationships.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Foreign Military Sales (FMS) & Program Execution
The analyst will:
Provide end-to-end, continuity-focused support for Singapore FMS cases, including:
LOA development, staffing, execution, and compliance
Case tracking, milestone monitoring, and issue resolution
Coordinate with implementing agencies and stakeholders, including:
DSCA, AFSAC, AFLCMC, Program Offices, and industry partners
Support lifecycle planning, sustainment considerations, and interoperability alignment for ongoing and future programs, ensuring seamless execution across contract periods.
Strategic Engagement & Country Coordination The analyst will:
Support planning and execution of standing and recurring engagements, including:
Senior-level meetings
Program Management Reviews (PMRs)
Site surveys, SARs, and working groups
Maintain established working relationships with interagency and international counterparts, including:
Department of State (DoS)
Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD)
Combatant Commands
Singapore Ministry of Defense stakeholders
Policy, Analysis, and Decision Support
The analyst will:
Conduct political-military analysis to inform:
Disclosure and exportability decisions
Technology release considerations
Regional security cooperation strategy
Draft, review, and staff time-sensitive and recurring decision products, including:
Staff Summary Sheets (SSSs)
Formal correspondence
Talking points and briefing materials
Congressional Notification packages
Administrative & Data Management
The analyst will:
Maintain accurate and current program records in approved systems (e.g., trackers, databases, SCIP as required), preserving institutional knowledge and audit continuity
Ensure documentation accuracy, version control, and readiness for leadership review
Support continuity during travel, surge periods, and leadership transitions with minimal disruption to mission execution
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Security Studies, Logistics, Acquisition, or a related field
Minimum of 4 years of experience supporting FMS, security cooperation, or international acquisition programs
Demonstrated experience coordinating with SAF/IA, DSCA, AFSAC, or equivalent organizations
Strong written and verbal communication skills appropriate for senior DoD leadership
Active SECRET clearance
Desired Qualifications
Prior experience as a:
Security Assistance Program Manager (SAPM)
Country or Regional Analyst
Action Officer supporting international programs
Experience supporting Indo-Pacific or ASEAN security cooperation efforts
Familiarity with:
LOA development processes
Congressional Notifications
Disclosure and export control workflows
Master’s degree in relevant discipline
TS/SCI eligibility
Work Environment & Travel
Primary duty location is the National Capital Region - Pentagon
Periodic CONUS and OCONUS travel, including recurring travel to Singapore and Indo-Pacific locations, will be required
The role operates in a fast-paced environment requiring consistent engagement with long-standing stakeholders across time zones
Performance Expectations
The analyst is expected to:
Operate independently with minimal supervision
Preserve continuity and institutional knowledge for the Singapore country portfolio
Execute responsibilities with a high degree of administrative accuracy, discretion, and reliability
Represent SAF/IA professionally in ongoing interagency and international engagements
