As a Therapeutic Recreation Coordinator, you'll play an integral role in our mission to enrich lives by helping plan and lead fun activities for Country Manor residents. You'll get to know each resident and work with our team to plan recreational and social opportunities that meet their individualized needs, and maximize overall resident involvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• First and foremost, you'll be planning activities! We are looking for a creative individual who loves to bring new ideas to the table. You'll work with your team to present monthly activity calendars, full of fun and engaging opportunities!
• Visiting with residents one on one to ensure appropriate programming is provided for all.  (Initial assessments + Develop, evaluate, and modify activity programs ongoing to meet the individual needs of the resident.)
• Assisting with and/or leading activities and special events
• Monitoring and ensuring appropriate documentation in each tenant's chart by conducting audits monthly.
• Developing and maintaining organized system of storage for activity equipment and supplies.
• Develop and maintain database of tenants interests, etc.
• Participate with on-call rotation.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors or Associates Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or COTA license with experience in a long-term care facility or Activity Director certificate from an accredited program approved by the state
• Experience working with memory loss
• Patience and appreciation of realistic geriatric needs and goals
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing Assisted Living Home Care Providers
• Strong communication skills to promote a positive working relationship with all departments
• Caring and outgoing personality, enabling you to lead and interact with residents during activities
