Country Manor is in search of a Maintenance & Housekeeping Attendant to join our team! This position is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean and odor-free living environment for residents and family.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform housekeeping duties (such as disinfecting, dusting, mopping, cleaning mirrors, walls and floors, emptying garbage, organizing furniture, vacuuming, changing cubicle curtains and other related duties)
• Use supplies per manufacturer guidelines and take care of cleaning equipment, such as buffers, carts, vacuum cleaners, extractors, etc
• Keep work areas and utility rooms neat and orderly
• Report needed improvements and repairs to Director of Housekeeping and Laundry
• Maintain good rapport with residents, families and visitors and refer all medical or personal care questions to the nurse in charge
• Responsible for organizing and completing scheduled duties and special projects as assigned
• Responsible to know and comply with facility and department safety rules
• Assist with supply inventory for scheduled projects
• Collect and dispose of all refuse from designated locations and operate trash compactor as assigned
• Carpet shampooing, buffing floors, stripping and waxing floors as scheduled
• Carry a walkie-talkie/radio for after maintenance hours
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able and willing to assume responsibility for the sanitation and cleanliness of assigned work areas throughout the facility
• Must have ability to understand and follow directions, both oral and written
• Must be able to work with residents, supervisors and peers in a cooperative and helpful manner
• Experience in housekeeping duties and operating housekeeping equipment preferred, but not required
• Experience with floor care equipment, i.e. scrubber, extractor, wax strippers & wax
• Must display a great deal of patience, consideration and tact when dealing with staff, tenants, visitors and residents
• Must be able to operate trash compactor
• Able to perform the required physical activities (including the ability to carry up to 50 pounds)

THIS IS A BENEFITS-ELIGIBLE, 65 HOURS PER PAY PERIOD POSITION. HOURS ARE FROM 1:00 PM-8:00 PM AND INCLUDE EVERY OTHER WEEKEND AND EVERY OTHER HOLIDAY.
