Responsibilities: • Counsel applicants and home buyers on various loan products, buying or refinance process, prospective lenders, and lending guidelines • Research competitive mortgage rates and interest rates, and negotiate terms to find ideal mortgage product and lender for potential borrowers • Interface with mortgage professionals such as lender institution underwriters, closing agents, and the borrower’s real estate agent to ensure a smooth mortgage process • Conduct a thorough interview to determine each applicant/ potential borrower’s specific lending or refinance needs • Submit application file to lenders in order to apply on the homeowners’ behalf Qualifications: • Must possess mortgage loan origination or loan officer experience: 5 years • Advanced computer skills including MS office, and loan origination software • Possess a strong understanding of mortgage products and loan process from origination to close • A current NMLS license or National Association of Mortgage Broker licensure or certification is required • Bachelor’s degree preferred in real estate law, banking, finance, business administration, or economics Compensation: $30,000 - $150,000 based on commission plan
