Responsibilities: • Conduct title search to prepare a title abstract and title opinion • Verify ownership, legal descriptions, and restrictions by analyzing liens, maps, public records, leases, plat books, agreements, surveys, and contracts • Record all legal documents at the county and federal level and present deed to new owners • Conduct property search to check for real estate title defects or issues, such as claims, liens, mortgages, deeds, wills, or fraud • Review all closing documents to be sure title commitments have been met, issue title policy, and prepare closing statements to transfer the title to the new owner • MUST have a book of business and be able to bring business in • Attend Marketing events to bring in business • Cover any department when shorthanded • Other duties as assigned by management Qualifications: • Prefer process-driven, analytical and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills • State license requirements must be met for this position --title producers license is a bonus • 3-5 years of title closing experience, abstractor experience, title examiner or providing closing services is required • College degree preferred- high school diploma required • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Compensation: $60,000 at plan commission
