Course Instructor Part-Time / Flexible Hours (Afternoons, Evenings, or Weekends)
Overview: We are seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable candidates for STEM Program Instructors to join our team. A background in STEM is a plus but not necessary. The ideal candidate is passionate about inspiring young minds through hands-on learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and enjoys working with youth ages 5-12. This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling. This role involves teaching STEM concepts, coding, and innovative tools such as Minecraft. Instructors will receive appropriate training to support curriculum delivery. Priority will be given to candidates with formal training and prior experience working with elementary and adolescent learners.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality instruction in designated courses for children aged 5-12
Develop and adapt lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with STEM education and coding programs
Facilitate interactive, inclusive, and engaging learning environments for young learners
Teach coding skills using kid-friendly platforms such as Minecraft and other coding programs for children
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
Maintain accurate attendance and participation records
Collaborate with the curriculum team for continuous improvement
Participate in training sessions to learn new educational tools and programs
Uphold organizational standards and policies
Qualifications:
Proven expertise in subject area (STEM, coding, or education for children aged 5-12)
Experience in teaching or training children preferred
Strong communication, organizational, presentation and classroom management skills
Ability to motivate and engage young learners
Flexibility to adapt to different teaching formats (in-person/virtual)
Preferred Skills (Not Required):
Experience with robotics, coding, 3D printing, or makerspace activities.
Familiarity with project-based or inquiry-based learning models.
Teaching certification or equivalent experience in informal education programs.
