We are looking for a reliable and attentive Courtesy Officer to support the safety, security, and overall guest experience at our property. In this role, you will maintain a visible presence throughout the hotel by conducting regular patrols, monitoring activity in public areas, and identifying potential safety or security concerns. The Courtesy Officer is responsible for documenting and reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations while helping create a secure and welcoming environment for guests, employees, and visitors. This position operates under an “observe and report” approach and does not require physical intervention. The ideal candidate is professional, alert, customer-focused, and able to remain calm and composed in a variety of situations. Responsibilities: • Contact local law enforcement immediately when criminal activity is witnessed while maintaining a safe distance • Prepare accurate end-of-shift reports detailing incidents, observations, and actions taken • Monitor guest areas, parking lots, stairwells, hallways, and public spaces for unusual or unsafe activity • Perform routine interior and exterior patrols of the hotel property to maintain a visible security presence • Ensure security equipment, including flashlights and communication devices, is properly maintained and ready for use Qualifications: • Previous security, hospitality, customer service, or related experience preferred but not required • Flexible availability, including evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed • Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and customer service skills • Ability to remain calm, attentive, and professional in high-pressure situations • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and property management systems Compensation: $15 - $19 hourly
