We are looking for a reliable and attentive Courtesy Officer to support the safety, security, and overall guest experience at our property. In this role, you will maintain a visible presence throughout the hotel by conducting regular patrols, monitoring activity in public areas, and identifying potential safety or security concerns. The Courtesy Officer is responsible for documenting and reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations while helping create a secure and welcoming environment for guests, employees, and visitors. This position operates under an “observe and report” approach and does not require physical intervention. The ideal candidate is professional, alert, customer-focused, and able to remain calm and composed in a variety of situations. Responsibilities: • Ensure security equipment, including flashlights and communication devices, is properly maintained and ready for use • Observe and report suspicious behavior, abandoned vehicles, hazards, or policy violations to hotel management and local authorities when necessary • Prepare accurate end-of-shift reports detailing incidents, observations, and actions taken • Contact local law enforcement immediately when criminal activity is witnessed while maintaining a safe distance Qualifications: • Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office, email platforms, and property management systems • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills when interacting with guests, staff, vendors, and law enforcement • Strong observation skills with the ability to remain alert and professional in fast-paced environments • Comfortable walking and standing for extended periods while conducting property patrols • Previous security, hospitality, customer service, or related experience preferred but not required Compensation: $15 - $18 hourly
