    Located in the Grandview Yard, The Courtyard Marriott Columbus OSU is currently seeking an energetic Operations Supervisor to join our Guest Services Team. The Operations Supervisor is the point person in the Front Desk, Bistro, and Housekeeping departments. They report to the General Manager and Assistant Manager. They will supervise the Front Desk Agents, Bistro Attendants and Room Attendants.

    Our compensation package includes $11.75 hourly wage (tips available during Bistro Coverage Only to $15.00 guaranteed Hourly) medical, dental, vision, STD/LTD, Life, 401k with match, vacation, PTO after 90 days, dining and travel discounts, special offers from our business partners, and discount programs for selected cell phone providers.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of management

    Act as First contact for guest concerns

    Assist with Training of new Front Desk, Bistro and Room Attendants

    Conduct shift meetings to ensure clear communication of the day’s events to all FOH and BOH staff

    Oversee daily completion of Front Desk and Bistro checklists

    Assist Inventory of food & beverage, guest room supplies, and cleaning supplies

    Assist with Management of FIFO process with food & beverage

    Oversee group reservations to ensure that they are pre-assigned and pre-keyed

    Walk through of public areas and kitchen with follow-up report/checklist to management

    Responsible for overseeing proper meeting room set up/tear down for internal and external clients

    Assist with Inspecting guest rooms for cleanliness and brand standards

    Assist with Management and scheduling of deep cleaning program

    Assist with Scheduling of front desk, bistro and housekeeping

    Respond to guest feedback via guest voice, Medallia, trip advisor and other sources

    Maintain work order log and report any guest room concerns to Chief Engineer

    Any other tasks as deemed by management

    Required Skills, and Experience:

    High school diploma or equivalent required.

    Excellent communication, organization and computer skills.

    Individual must be customer service driven.

    Schedule flexibility – available to work any shift.

    Requires strong command of the English language to include speaking, reading and writing.

    Ability to learn quickly and work in fast paced position with constant guest interaction.

    Must be able to multi-task.

    Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight (minimum of 20 lbs).

    Must possess basic computer skills, i.e. Word, Excel, etc.

    Valid State driver’s license.

    Six months’ experience as Front Desk and/or another qualified hotel experience.

    Previous supervisory experience in a hotel setting is preferred.

    At least one year of Guest service /Hotel experience preferred.
