The Courtyard Marriott Columbus/OSU is seeking a AM Bistro Attendant to join our Food and Beverage team. The Bistro at Courtyard is a chic, fast-casual concept restaurant offering an eclectic menu including a variety of refreshing to-go options as well as full sit-down fare including cocktails, wine, beer, and Starbucks coffee. Our Bistro Team Members master a wide variety of food & beverage functions, from serving coffee and other beverages (including alcohol), to preparing ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food. Shift usually range from 5:30 am to 2:00 PM

Our compensation package includes $12.00 guaranteed wage, medical, dental, vision, STD/LTD, Life, 401k with match, vacation, PTO after 90 days, dining and travel discounts, special offers from our business partners, and discount programs for selected cell phone providers.

New hires in this position will receive $250 sign on bonus:

Applicant must not have been employed by CHM previously in the past 12 months or worked at a Columbus Hospitality Management property through a temp agency or related program in the past 12 months.

$125 paid after 30 days of successful employment.

$125 paid after 90 days of successful employment.

All bonuses contingent upon perfect attendance and adherence to company policy.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Complete opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools.

Cleaning all equipment and areas.

Set up, stock, and maintain work areas.

Take orders from customers, input orders into micros, and obtain payment and provide change.

Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.

Prepare food, coffee and other beverages, including alcohol(during PM Shifts).

Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.

Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.

Process all orders and collect payment from customers.

Provide assistance in Food and Beverage areas including busing, cleaning and resetting tables

Delivering food to guests.

General cleaning of food and beverage prep areas and other areas within the lobby area.

Count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank.

Other duties as assigned by Management.
