    The Courtyard Marriott Columbus OSU is currently seeking a part-time Barista/Breakfast Attendant to join our team! The shifts we are looking to fill are AM, 6:00am - 1pm.

    Our attractive compensation package includes a $15 hourly wage plus tips , medical, dental, vision, life, 401k with match, vacation earned on an accrual basis, paid holidays after 90 days, dining and travel discounts, and special offers from our business partners.

    The Bistro at Courtyard is a chic, fast-casual concept restaurant offering an eclectic menu including a variety of refreshing to-go options as well as full sit-down fare including Starbucks coffee. Our Bistro Team Members master a wide variety of food & beverage functions, from serving coffee and other beverages, to preparing ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food. This position processes all orders and collects payment from customers, and provides assistance in food & beverage areas including busing, cleaning, resetting tables, and delivering food to guests. This position also performs general cleaning and maintenance of food and beverage prep areas, counts the bank at end of shifts, and follows property control audit standards and cash handling procedures.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes the culture, values and philosophy of Hyatt Place.
    • Complete opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools.
    • Cleaning all equipment and areas.
    • Set up, stock, and maintain work areas.
    • Take orders from customers, input orders into micros, and obtain payment and provide change.
    • Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
    • Prepare food, coffee and other beverages, including alcohol.
    • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
    • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
    • Process all orders and collect payment from customers.
    • Provide assistance in Food and Beverage areas including busing, cleaning and resetting tables
    • Delivering food to guests.
    • General cleaning of food and beverage prep areas and other areas within the lobby area.
    • Count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank.

    • Associate must be able to sit in the same position stand for up to 8 hours a day consecutively.

    • Associate is often required to sit and use his or her hands and fingers, to handle or feel.
    • Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight (minimum of 20 lbs).
    • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

    Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities :

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
