    PRIMARY PURPOSEThe Sales & Events Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the planning and coordination of events while offering support in the sales & development of group business at the hotel.

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities• Valid driver's license in the applicable state with dependable personal vehicle.• Must work well in stressful high pressure situations while maintaining composure and objectivity under pressure.• Must be able to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks.• Implement and continually update Amadeus computer program.o All information must be documented with follow up tasks assigned.EVENTS• Assisting in the planning & execution of all events, working directly with the Director of Sales & Events Manager and any other service personnel for an event. • Assist in the set-ups for all events.• Assist in the completion of Banquet Event Orders for clients and internal departments involved in event setup.• Promotion of facility for event planning and rental.• Preparing contracts for clients and coordinating contract details• Prepare and issue master calendar of events to entire management staff.• Establish contact and follow-up with all new, returning, and prospective clients interested in hosting an event or group at LNKCY.

    SALES• Answer questions and provide information to potential clients in person, over the phone, and by email.• Schedule and execute facility tours with potential clients as needed. • Input blocks and inform departments of special group needs.• Handle group contracts as necessary.o Correspond with group contacts to ensure that all needs are met.• Handle walk in tours when necessary.• Organize and inventory sales collateral• Respond to all assigned sales leads in a time effective manner• Attend all sales related meetings, blitzes & special activities.• Will handle sales primarily for the SMERF (social, military, education, religious & fraternal) market.o Sales manager is expected to proactively source all high school and college sports and activities.o The ideal candidate will build relationships with key decision makers at these institutions or their third party vendors, to ensure brand loyalty to LNKCY and consistent sourcing opportunities.

    Associate Requirements• The hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Department schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands and associates will be asked to work shifts outside of the typical Monday- Friday, 8AM- 5PM shift.• Flexibility required to accommodate group business needs. Occasional evening and weekend work. o Non-traditional hours to assist with events should be expected.• Associates are required to comply with department uniform and appearance standards.• Associates are expected to carry out all reasonable requests by Managers/Supervisors which the associate is capable of performing.• Travel: none• Lifting: Yes. Up to 25 pounds.• Other specials physical or mental requirements: Person is walking throughout the building to provide service and ensure tasks are completed appropriately and timely. Person will at times have to move conference facility tables, chairs, equipment, push carts, set up breaks.

    Additional Operational Responsibilities:• Learn front desk associate role, including the ability to check a guest in/out.• Assist team with training, supplies and support in order to consistently provide quality service.• Practice safety standards at all times. Know all property specific hotel emergency plans.• Comply with Record Retention, Standard Operating Procedures and daily responsibilities.• Adhere to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the company, including but not limited to those contained in the employee handbook.• Assist in other departments (front desk, Bistro and housekeeping) as needed in order to consistently provide quality service.
