Summary of Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Oversee the catering of events & food prep
Will coordinate kitchen schedule with Bistro and Event Manager to ensure full coverage during hotel operations.
Follow Marriott standard for Bistro operations. This will include the updates and changes of Marriott’s Seasonal Rollouts
Deliver superior food and beverage service and maximizes customer satisfaction
Hire, train and manage kitchen staff / bistro staff and supervises/coordinates/supports all related kitchen activities (back-of-the-house, front of the house, food preparation activities, etc.)
Personally prepare meals as needed
Perform other related duties as assigned

While performing the duties of this job, the Chef / Kitchen Manager is regularly required to walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and talk or hear.
The Chef / Kitchen Manager frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.
The Chef / Kitchen Manager is occasionally required to stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, push, pull, reach, handle or grip items. Chef / Kitchen Manager may be required to stand for lengthy periods of time.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, reasonable color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of a culinary degree, program or certificate or at least 3 years of experience directly related to the above food preparation responsibilities.
Prior experience as a chef
Good physical condition and stamina.
Able to relate well to hotel guests and co-workers.
Able to work well as part of a team.
Must be neat, professional and well-groomed.
Must possess good organization/time management skills.
Must be dependable and reliable.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
