Quality Assurance Manager
Location: Overland Park, KS (Kansas City)
Salary: $100K - $125K+
Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join a dynamic team in the software development space. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through a comprehensive automated testing process. Will play a crucial role in identifying and resolving defects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and continuously improving testing methodologies.
Our client is the next generation of frontline radio communication that provides facility owners, manufacturers, and general contractors a single platform to manage all field communication and workforce management of all contractors and employees.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement QA strategies: Design and implement effective quality assurance strategies to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality standards and testing objectives.
- Automated testing strategy: Develop and implement a robust automated testing strategy to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA process. Identify opportunities for test automation and lead the implementation of automated testing frameworks.
- Test planning and execution: Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements. Execute functional, regression, and performance testing to validate the software's functionality and performance.
- Defect management: Identify, document, and track defects through the testing lifecycle. Collaborate with development teams to prioritize and resolve reported issues.
- Process improvement: Continuously assess and improve testing processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Implement best practices and industry standards to optimize the QA process.
- Work closely with development, product management, and support teams to ensure a seamless integration of quality assurance into the software development lifecycle. Provide regular updates on testing progress, issues, and resolutions to stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Manager with a focus on automated testing.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- In-depth knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices.
