The job – the BIG picture:
Oversee the operations of Covey's Adult Family Home in Oshkosh with the opportunity to grow your career by also leading additional adult family homes as they open in Winnebago County.
Build engaging relationships with your residents by guiding, helping and supporting them.
Full control over the schedule of your Covey house.
Charting – there’s always charting. And ISPs. Help your team understand the why’s, the how’s and the must’s about charting/documentation.
You will work and collaborate with your team on the floor to provide direct care (assistance with feeding, toileting, moving, medication administration, etc.) to Covey’s residents.
Support your team by:
Developing and sharing performance reviews
Helping them develop achievable goals
Discovering their career goals and dreams and help, encourage, and support them in figuring out how to achieve them!
Ensuring that everyone has the training they need AND want
Being available to them as you work with them side by side
Safety, compliance, supply management, grocery shopping…the operations of the house are yours!
Qualifications/Education:
Past or current experience leading and mentoring a team.
Understanding of how to help our participants overcome their barriers and challenges.
Excellent communication skills will ensure that Covey participants, families and employees understand your written or oral message.
Ability to keep things organized, please.
Problems and crises are possible, and we will need you to be able to manage them – even if it’s the middle of the night or you’re on an outing with a participant.
We are very passionate about getting our participants out into the community, so we need you to have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, a personal vehicle and auto insurance.
You can recognize and maintain what needs to be kept confidential.

Must be able to respond to onsite emergencies within 30 minutes when on-call.
The other stuff:
Covey Program Coordinators are exempt.
