    Covia is looking for a dynamic SALES & OPERATIONS PLANNING ANALYST who will have a positive impact on the OPERATIONS team at its MONTERREY NL, MEXICO location. As a SALES & OPERATIONS PLANNING ANALYST, you will maximize the manufacturing capabilities of the plants with the forecasted sales demand on a weekly basis. Provide the necessary data analytics to S&OP management to make key decisions that impact the overall profitability of the company, particularly the Industrial market.


    • Prepare data/ Charts used for S&OP meetings.
    • Review Sales Opportunities for the Industrial market within Sales Force.
    • Elaborate rolling sales (demand) projections (short, medium and long term)
    • Maintain updated plant/product total and available capacity information.
    • Maintain updated cost per ton information.
    • Run supply chain models (Llamasoft or similar) and make recommendations for an improved decision making.
    • Develop and implement logistics strategies to ensure cost competitiveness and innovation in the transportation service for customers and inter-plants.
    • Prepare and document contracts for transport, and services related with developed logistics strategies.
    • Review Sales Order data to ensure accuracy on demand and supply side and communicate any gaps to appropriate department.
    • Communicate with Sales available inventory to move to spot market.
    • Coordination with multiple departments including Operations, Logistics, Sales, and Customer Service to ensure shipping plans are met.
    • Adjust plans when necessary due to Supply Chain constraints.
    • Generate contingency plans.
    • Proactively follow-up daily Plants shipments to compare them with supply plan defined and communicate any gaps on timely basis.
    • Document and Follow up S&OP action plan progress from weekly meeting.
    • Ad hoc analysis of supply chain network
    • Customer analysis
    • Inventory Safety Stock Calculations
    • Historical performance of customers/Plants


    • Strong excel skills, ERP experience, strong communication skills
    • Analytical / data mining
    • 5-7 years in Supply Chain, Operations, Finance or other related field
    • Full bilingual English / Spanish
