Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Work in conjunction with the Manager to implement planting, irrigation and harvesting of hay.
Operate and maintain irrigation systems: pivots, wheel lines, gated pipe and flood irrigation.
Maintain and provide regular service to vehicles and equipment.
Possess skills to operate necessary equipment: tractors, swather, baler, skid steer, welder, etc
Monitor cattle, fences and rangeland conditions, provide recommended supplements such as salt or protein.
Provide any treatment needed to sick or injured animals, understanding of general herd health protocol.
Help daily with cattle movements and rotations, head counts, and other tasks to keep the ranch running smoothly.
Manage cattle on site: grazing rotation, feed rations, calving and health. Provide feed records and feed inventory for records.
Maintain facilities - including fencing, pipelines and water, house, corrals and other buildings
Keep accurate records and do some data entry to support our ranch operations.
Stay aware of safety in potentially hazardous environments, following safety protocols.
Follow direction of >span class="NormalTextRun SCXW64736287 BCX0"> in conjunction with overall Operations management and company guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
Good physical fitness for outdoor work in all kinds of weather.
Some basic skills in record-keeping and data entry.
Knowledge of proper cattle care and common health issues.
A commitment to safety and good communication skills.
Adaptable, reliable, and ethical.
Self-starter with problem-solving skills and strong organizational abilities.
Great teamwork and people skills to maintain positive relationships with everyone on the ranch.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
On-site residence required (housing provided as part of compensation package).
Remote location with limited nearby services; candidate must be comfortable with rural living.
Works in close coordination with other ranch employees and management team.
Property hosts seasonal hunting activity; employee must maintain professionalism and awareness during hunting seasons.
Occasional weekend and extended hours required during peak operational periods

While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be required to lift heavy objects up to 100 pounds and complete a variety of projects that require prolonged standing, walking, and lifting. Must be able to ride long days in rough terrain.
Monitor cattle, fences and rangeland conditions, provide recommended supplements such as salt or protein.
Provide any treatment needed to sick or injured animals, understanding of general herd health protocol.
Help daily with cattle movements and rotations, head counts, and other tasks to keep the ranch running smoothly.
Gather and move cattle, provide assistance during branding, weaning and fall cattle work.
Maintain vehicles and equipment with light mechanic work
Possess skills to operate necessary equipment: backhoe, skid steer, welder, etc.
Maintain facilities - including fencing, pipelines and water, house, corrals and other buildings
Keep accurate records and do some data entry to support our ranch operations.
Stay aware of safety in potentially hazardous environments, following safety protocols.
Follow direction of the Ranch Manager in conjunction with overall Operations management and company guidelines.
Understand ranching as a lifestyle
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
Have your own horses and tack
Solid horsemanship skills and the ability to handle cattle with low stress.
Good physical fitness for outdoor work in all kinds of weather, plus the ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 100 pounds).
Some basic skills in record-keeping and data entry.
Knowledge of proper cattle care and common health issues.
A commitment to safety and good communication skills.
Adaptable, reliable, and ethical.
Self-starter with problem-solving skills and strong organizational abilities.
Great teamwork and people skills to maintain positive relationships with everyone on the ranch.
