GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK
Performs routine customer service activities. Responsible for providing information, giving directions and helping solve problems of Coweta citizens doing business with County government. Responsible for creating a pleasurable and responsive impression of County government for those who visit the County facilities and for those who reach out (call, post, email, etc.) looking for answers. Work is performed under direct supervision.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Greet citizens entering and provide information and directions to the service desired.
Answer primary phone line, answer questions and transfer calls as needed.
Monitor county website, blogs, etc. and provide notice if action is needed.
Responsible for targeted administrative tasks and programs, such as data entry, simple recordkeeping, scanning, filing, writing or maintain correspondence.
Setup and breakdown of activity spaces and classrooms
Perform related and other duties as assigned.
Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Encourages and promotes a culture of excellent customer service.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices in delivering excellent customer service; proficiency in written, verbal and non-verbal communication; considerable patience, composure and listening skills, including ability to deal tactfully and courteously with the public; proficiency in use of standard office and administrative tools; ability to handle significant variation in work load, multitasking and managing on-going work as necessary; attentive to details and able to adapt to changing citizen situations; knowledge of the general functions of County departments.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Basic administrative skills including experience with office software and computers.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 40 pounds of force; work requires standard hearing ability; work requires strong verbal communication skills and written communication skills; work regularly requires sitting and standing for extended periods; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. front entrance, light traffic.)
