    Objective of This Role

    • Managing both our existing sales pipeline and developing new business opportunities.

    • Take a lead role in the development of RFPs and presentations for new business development;

    • Create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships.

    • Identify trends and customer needs, building a short/medium/long-term pipeline in accordance with targets.

    • Develop strategies and positions by analyzing new venture exploration.

    • Partner in construction, coordination and implementation of marketing strategies to support strategic goals.

    • Motivate, track performance and report metrics. This position will act as a change agent in the implementation of growth strategies through multiple markets. Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement overarching sales development strategy, sales process and sales best practices.

    • Monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers to guide the sales strategic plan.

    • Generate new leads, identify and contact decision-makers

    • Screen potential business opportunities in line with company strategic plan.

    • Manage proposal response process, including detailed RFP requirements and content creation.

    • Build deal structure and pricing with business value analysis.

    • Maintain and share professional knowledge through education, networking, events and presentations. Qualifications Skills and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in technology or management

    • Strong business-to-business analytical, financial, strategic thinking and marketing skills.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Working experience with sales techniques.

    • Influencing and negotiation skills.

    • Strong planning and implementation skills. Additional Desired Qualifications:

    • Field customer sales experience (working with new and existing accounts).

    • Experience selling in contracting environment.

    • Tridium Certification.

    • Certified Energy Manager (CEM), LEED Accredited Professional or similar credentials.

     

     

     

    Company Description

    Cowles Search does most of its work in the field of HVAC controls, building automation, plus fire/life-safety/security and contracting in general all around the United States. Primarily, the roles we fill are for Controls Engineers, Controls Technicians, and Sales Engineers. We will also work to recruit for Project Managers and other related roles in HVAC, building systems, contracting and energy conservation. Our common client is a Controls Contractor, anywhere from a 10-person company to a $100M company with hundreds of employees, and from small markets to very large metropolitan markets. In many markets, we are placing fire alarm, life safety and security (card access and CCTV) salespeople, system designers, IT/Network electricians, inspectors and management/leaders.
