Job Description

CRITICAL SYSTEMS / CRITICAL SITE ENGINEER:

· Lead Mechanical Systems Engineer

o Coordination with and support of all airside TAB

o 3rd party vendor support for Fan Arrays, Filters, Water Softeners, VFDs, UVs, Condensing Units, Etc.

o 3rd party vendor support for CRAC Units, Leak Detection, Heat Trace, Fire Alarm, VFDs, Etc.

o Commissioning Support for all

· Assist with troubleshooting Unity programming and PLC component issues across all packages.

·

· Review all DSI submittals and verify they conform to the project plans, specifications, other contract documents and owner expectations.

· Attend weekly coordination meeting with PM and other Package leads.

· Manage all levels of commissioning associated with relevant systems.

· Ensure that all documentation is accurate and complete in BIM360 Field for each level of commissioning.

· Manage all relevant BIM issues.

· Assist the PM with managing RFI’s.

Cowles Search does most of its work in the field of HVAC controls, building automation, plus fire/life-safety/security and contracting in general all around the United States. Primarily, the roles we fill are for Controls Engineers, Controls Technicians, and Sales Engineers. We will also work to recruit for Project Managers and other related roles in HVAC, building systems, contracting and energy conservation. Our common client is a Controls Contractor, anywhere from a 10-person company to a $100M company with hundreds of employees, and from small markets to very large metropolitan markets. In many markets, we are placing fire alarm, life safety and security (card access and CCTV) salespeople, system designers, IT/Network electricians, inspectors and management/leaders.
