You’ll troubleshoot everything from shoddy air conditioning to vehicle electrical systems, conducting preventive maintenance and structural repairs along the way. Responsibilities: • Perform system inspections, test drives, and diagnostic tests to determine necessary repair work • Pursue continued education opportunities to grow technical skills • Ensure accurate record-keeping for vehicle repairs, maintenance, and service history • Collaborate with supervisors and fellow auto mechanics to diagnose and repair vehicles’ mechanical issues • Generating repair estimates, timelines, and process documents for automotive work • Team up with the manager and other mechanics to diagnose and service equipment coming in for repairs. • On-call responsibilities for Irrigation/Frost Protecting and supporting head mechanic with engine performance during these times. • Work with all ranges of equipment ranging from small engines to heavy equipment such as excavators, tractors, and pick-ups. Qualifications: • Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent • Experience and manual dexterity using hand tools and other equipment is needed • Must be an effective communicator who maintains a solid work ethic • A valid driver’s license is necessary • Associate’s degree from a vocational program, technical school, or community college is preferred - ASE certification is a big bonus Compensation: $22 - $27 hourly
