    The Staff Accountant position is responsible for a number of corporate closing entries and reconciliations, maintains and assists the senior staff accountant in monthly closings. 

     

    • Review weekly check runs for coding errors and logging check sequences
    • Prepare month-end reconciliations and journal entries
    • Prepare several closing schedules for management review
    • Tie subsidiary monthly schedules to G/L
    • Assist in the preparation of audit schedules
    • Prepare analysis of fee accounts
    • Assist Senior Accountant in monthly closing work
    • Work on miscellaneous projects within the Accounting department

    Required Skills

     

    • Good organization, communication, and interpersonal skills 
    • Ability to prioritize and show flexibility as needed 
    • Attention to detail 
    • Able to work under deadlines and able to work independently with minimal supervision 
    • Good problem solving skills

    Required Experience

     

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 
    • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
    • PeopleSoft Financial and Great Plains Systems Financial exposure preferred
    • 2+ years General Ledger Accounting experience
