    The primary responsibility of the Communications Specialist is to assist in the execution of results-driven initiatives for Cross Country Healthcare’s (CCH) brands to drive brand awareness, earned media, reputation and thought leadership. This individual will play an important role in implementing effective strategies to increasing visibility of the company to external stakeholders and continue developing a strategic communication approach to internal team members.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:   

    • Assists in the development and implementation of strategic brand-building and results-driven marketing to generate awareness for Cross Country Healthcare (CCH) brands.
    • Works with vendors such as photographers, videographers, agency representatives and graphic designers as required to complete assigned projects and programs.
    • Writes/submits nominations for company awards.
    • Provides support and assistance to communication and marketing leadership.
    • Write and edit press releases, pitches and other written communication using AP style, proper tone and brand voice.
    • Draft and post communications updates on the employee portal.
    • Executes the development of content for external communications vehicles. Supports editorial strategy and guidelines for generating a steady volume of content that supports the company's strategic objectives, effectively conveys key messages, and meets timelines. Includes writing and the creation of other original communications content including talking points, media briefs, collateral, op-eds, speeches, PowerPoint presentations, etc.
    • Supports the director with project management, follow up and execution of communication tactics.
    • Manages/updates brand specific documents, distribute to the company and organize in a central location accessible by everyone (i.e shared drive).
    • Assists in analyzing metrics (campaign results, traffic etc.) to help shape future business strategies.
    • Helps develop and keep a detailed communications calendar for public relations, content, etc.
    • Effectively supports CCH brands and their unique needs, while determining the strategies and initiatives that are most effective for their specific markets.
    • Manages multiple projects and conflicting priorities.
    • Produces thorough, accurate and reliable work.
    • Meets work expectations and deadlines with agility.
    • Maintains flexibility and willingness to assist and fill in as needed.

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field with 3-6 years’ experience in communications, public relations or stakeholder relations
    • Thorough understanding of concepts, best practices and procedures within traditional and digital communication fields
    • Knowledge of web-based technologies, online marketing practices and social media strategies
