Job Description:
Your main goal as a Crawl Space and Radon Technician will be to help solve customers' problems regarding the condition of their crawl space and/or basement, with emphasis on installing radon mitigation systems. You will be working individually or closely with 1-2 other crew members to address our customers' needs by installing radon mitigation systems as well as remediating moisture issues (laying moisture barrier, digging French drains, installing dehumidifiers, etc.) and helping to repair structural damage (sistering joists, building drop girders, etc.) in the crawl space and/or basement.

Will be supplied work shirts, hats, headlamps, knee pads, and crawl suit. Must provide own work khakis.
What You’ll Do:
Radon Mitigation:
Install runs of Schedule 40 PVC Pipe
Use hammer drills to core through concrete slabs
Install vapor barrier
Use hold saw bits to penetrate through different types of siding
Use and conduct work on ladders safely
Creatively problem solve how to install PVC vent pipe from a designated suction point inside the home to a discharge point outside the home
Crawl space remediation and repair:
Light carpentry
Hauling material
Light plumbing
Light masonry
Other:
Tool Inventory/Maintenance; keep tools and materials on jobs organized
Show up on time as scheduled
Who We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate is someone who ...
Has previous experience with construction and repair (preferred), most notably with installing radon mitigation systems as well as conducting repairs in the crawlspace, including structural repair and moisture remediation.
Is willing to be flexible in duties from day to day and hour to hour.
Has a Driver’s License, and is able to pass a DMV license check and have reliable transportation to and from work.
Has excellent people skills, professional in their interactions with both customers and coworkers.
Has a strong desire to reach and exceed set goals in all areas of the job.
Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly.
Ability to work on ladders at 40+ feet
Radon Mitigation Certification preferred (RMS, RMI, or RRS)
