    CBIS JOB DESCRIPTION

    ACCOUNT MANAGER - EXPERIENCED

    Department: Employee Benefits FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

    Work Schedule: M-F 8:00am-4:30pm, Summer Hours June through September

    Job Status: Full Time

    Amount of Travel Required: Approximately 30% - Mostly local, when applicable

    Salary: $55,000-$80,000 based on experience

    Lucrative Benefits Package including 401k, PTO and Paid Holidays

     

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The CBIS Benefits Account Manager plays an intricate role working with our clients and our Benefits Team. Daily tasks include overseeing the accounts to ascertain we are meeting and/or exceeding client expectations, all services are being provided and output is accurate. The Team currently consists of 5 Members not including the Producer (Benefits Account Manager; Benefits Administration; Plan Analyst; Enrollment Advisor; and PT Department Assistant).  

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Account Management

    ·         Assist clients with day to day as needed.

    ·         Provide each new and renewal client with a welcome letter that outlines their Team and Services.

    ·         Ascertain clients understand all CBIS services and provide demos to new and renewal clients not taking advantage of value added                  services.

    ·         Keep clients and staff up to date on compliance updates and regulatory issues.

    ·         Provide each client with POP and ERISA SPD Plan Documents.

    ·         Go over compliance review with each new client assisting them to get prepared for a DOL Audit.

    ·         Work with Team on renewals and new business opportunities.

    ·         Help write RFP new business opportunities.

    ·         Organize and attend Open Enrollment Meetings.

    ·         Ascertain all client contact and policy information is being reported in Agency Management System.

    ·         Attend new business and/or renewal meetings with Producers as needed.

    ·         Work directly with clients and peer groups on escalated situations that require management level involvement and/or provides                        coaching to ensure appropriate problem solving routines and timely resolution of issues, etc.

    ·         Build a solid relationship with clients including regular check in, send cards, take to lunch, etc.

    ·         Ascertain that we maintain good working relationships with our vendors.

    ·         Work with Benefits Team on training.

    ·         Performs other related duties as assigned.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

    ·         10 years industry experience in Group Benefits including but not limited to Large Group, Small group and Self Funding, ACA, COBRA,             Ancillary benefits including Dental; Vision; STD; LTD; AFLAC; Group Life, etc.

    ·         Licensed Life and Health License not required, but helpful

    ·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    ·         Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook

    ·         Polished and professional

    ·         Has reliable transportation

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:

    ·         Experience with HRIS systems

    ·         Ability to work collaboratively

    ·         Organizational and time management

    ·         Conflict resolution Problem Solving, Critical Thinking Skills

    ·         Project Management

    ·         Service Orientation
