Job Description

Environmental organization located in southeast Denver has an immediate need for a sharp Accounting Specialist to assist their team. The Accounting Specialist will report to the Controller and work primarily with the accounts payable and accounts receivable team. The Accounting Specialist role is fully remote. The company experienced a ransomware attack over the summer and refused to pay the ransom. As a result, they lost a lot of accounting data and it needs to be restored. Accounting Specialist Duties:

• accounts payable - ensuring all vendors are in the system and set up correctly, entering past invoices, confirming data
• accounts receivable - entering past cash reconciliations, reviewing and confirming data
• other accounts payable and receivable duties as needed Accounting Specialist Skills/Experience:
• 2-3 years of accounts payable and accounts receivable experience
• comfortable reviewing and entering a high volume of data
• strong data entry skills and attention to detail Hours for the Accounting Specialist are Monday through Friday. Core hours are 9:00 - 3:00, but flexible outside of that time. No overtime for the Accounting Specialist! Accounting Specialist candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check.
