    Job Description

     Creative Financial Staffing is paired with a well-known non-profit organization in Boston, MA seeking a Controller. ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION FOR THE CONTROLLER:

    • Founded almost 40 years ago, this organization provides services to job seekers in the New England area who wish to re-enter the workforce
    • They offer services varying from skills training, job support, and resume review with the ultimate goal of helping individuals find gainful employment
    • This role is dynamic and includes leading and organizing a large team. There is a lot of opportunity in this position to leave your mark and set up improved processes.

    RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CONTROLLER INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Financial planning including forecasting and budget vs. actual
    • Oversee finance staff in all parts of the accounting process 
    • Allocate and report on donor funds to ensure proper usage
    • Oversee overall cash flow and expenses
    • Ensure proper payroll procedures and control payroll expenses
    • Manage all audit activities

    BACKGROUND EXPECTED OF THE CONTROLLER:

    • Five + years' experience as a Controller in a non-profit organization 
    • Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, related field or Associate's with experience equivalent
    • CPA / MBA is a plus
