  • Responsibilities

    This position is critical to the ministry of Sky Ranch and contributes directly to our mission of leading youth and families to know and follow Christ. The Creative Media Intern supports the Creative Media team by taking, editing and storing photos, creating, editing and storing videos, and creating collateral for marketing and internal use throughout the year.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Sky Ranch Photographer and Videographer responsibilities– includes evenings and weekends as needed. Captures photos and video from a range of programs and departments across all sites.

    Photo/Video editor and organizer – will work with the Brand Manager to edit photos and videos, organizing and storing them for easy access.

    Offer support/training/constructive feedback for the Summer Media Team – includes assisting with photography and/or session videos as needed.

    Will support Brand Manager with design needs – creating collateral for a variety of departments across the organization.

    Represent the Sky Ranch brand at marketing events and other situations deemed necessary, which may require some travel during the year.

    Provide general support to the Creative Media, Communications, and Marketing Team as required.

    OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Maintain compliance with Sky Ranch’s employee policies and procedures.

    Maintain compliance with all state and federal laws and regulatory requirements.

    Contribute to the overall success of the Marketing Department by performing other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Brand Manager and Marketing Director

    Perform other duties as required.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION

    Bachelor’s degree preferred.

    EXPERIENCE

    One year of experience in a related field.

    KNOWLEDGE

    How to work manual mode on a camera to take photos that align with the branding standards of Sky Ranch

    Adobe editing software such as Lightroom Classic, Photoshop, Premiere and After Effects, as well as ProPresenter and Illustrator.

    Proficient working knowledge and ability to use various office software including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.

    Knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

    Excellent leadership skills necessary to appropriately influence people to achieve a desired outcome.

    Ability to relate positively, influentially, and sensitively to a broad spectrum of persons in a variety of multi-tiered relationships and settings to include but not limited to guests (youth and families),

    Clergy and staff of various Christian churches and organizations of all sizes, cultural identities and worship styles, co-workers, and peers.

    Proven successful leadership experience; ability to build unity amongst a team and motivate them to work together toward a common mission.

    Excellent interpersonal skills, and relationship building skills.

    Ability to provide strategic and logistical planning and facilitate meetings as required.

    Ability to investigate and analyze information and draw conclusions.

    Ability to exercise independent thinking and initiative.

    Ability to deal with complex situations or issues and make effective, timely and appropriate decisions.

    Excellent organizational skills: ability to multi-task and manage a variety of tasks.

    Ability to communicate the vision of Sky Ranch to both internal and external customers.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    Physical effort required on a routine basis; ability to use up to 50 pounds of force frequently for moving and carrying objects, including photography and video equipment.

    Ability to grasp, push, pull, carry, or otherwise manipulate objects; ability to perform tasks requiring action of muscles or groups of muscles and foot and/or hand-eye coordination.

    Requires some physical agility, including but not limited to bending for items below or reaching for items above the individual; crawling under desks; stooping, and climbing step stools or ladder.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    Works indoors in normal office environment majority of the time; works outdoors during the summer season.

    Ability to travel to various geographic locations, including travel by car/plane, and some overnight stays including weekends.
