    Creative World School Cypress TX is seeking an experienced Center Director to join our Team!

    A successful candidate must:

    have at least five years' current/ recent experience as a Center Director with a track record of success;

    possess a current Texas Director's license;

    possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field;

    have good mental and physical health;

    have knowledge and experience working with young children (ages 6 weeks- 12 years);

    be able to communicate effectively (both verbal and written) and

    have a positive, smiling attitude.

Our Leadership cultivates a team culture that is reflective of our fun approach to learning.A Creative World Director is responsible for the daily operation of the school in accordance with Creative World policies and procedures and licensing regulations.Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    Greet the children and their families warmly and with enthusiasm each day.

    Maintain a safe and stimulating environment for young children.

    Ensure children are supervised at all times.

    Oversee the planning and development of activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the children in the school.

    Plan, organize and establish an environment that reflects Creative World’s philosophy and meets state licensing requirements.

    Supervise, monitor and evaluate the implementation of the planned curriculum activities.

    Oversee the documentation of the children’s curriculum experiences through displays and pictures throughout the school.

    Monitor and evaluate the ongoing assessments, collection of work samples and documentation in each child’s portfolio.

    Monitor classroom record keeping and maintain all required record-keeping for the entire school such as transition sheets, daily sheets, medication forms, portfolio and assessments, accident and incident reports, biting logs, accident logs, playground inspections, etc.

    Establish routines and use positive and constructive guidance methods to reinforce appropriate behavior.

    Work cooperatively and effectively as a team member with employees by communicating and contributing information on a continuous basis.

    Maintain positive informal and formal communication with parents on a daily basis.

    Maintain open, friendly, and cooperative relationships with each child’s family and encourage their involvement in the program.

    Establish and maintain “inspection ready” standards in the building.

    Work with staff to achieve accreditation of the school and maintain the accreditation standards once achieved.

    Oversee the creation and distribution of a monthly newsletter and special events calendar for the school.

    Establish and collect fees in accordance with Creative World policies.

    Market school in the community to build and sustain enrollment of children.

    Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible.

    Continue professional development through attending workshops, conferences and other staff development.

    Report to Corporate Office any special needs or problems with children, families, or other staff members.

    Perform general custodial responsibilities for school.

    Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Required Skills and Abilities:

    Experience Directing in an early childhood setting.

    Knowledge and experience working with early childhood-aged children.

    Ability to apply and explain Creative World policies and procedures and license regulations and rules.

    Knowledge of First Aid as well as Infant and Child CPR.

    Ability to use computers and understanding of basic accounting and recording keeping practices.

    Ability to work independently with little direction.

    Ability to meet deadlines, schedules, and timelines.

    Ability to analyze situations accurately and adopt effective courses of action.

    Ability to complete work with many interruptions.

    Ability to be perceptive and aware of all children in your care at all times.

    Understanding of child development and early childhood developmental milestones.

    Ability to maintain the confidentiality of children, families, co-workers, and the school.

    Ability to be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the employees, families, children and the school.

    Meet education and experience requirements of state licensing regulations.

    Physical Demands/Environmental Factors

    Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written).

    Ability to see children and their environment and hear all types of sounds.

    Ability to maintain emotional control under stress.

    Ability to routinely lift up to 40 pounds, move furniture, sit on the floor or child-sized furniture, and sustain long hours of active work such as bending, standing, or walking.

    Willingness to work in an environment where they may come in contact with children who are ill and/or contagious.

    Be prepared to handle accidents and emergencies at any time.
