About the Role:
MedPOINT Management is looking for a detail-oriented Credentialing Coordinator to join our team in Sherman Oaks, CA. Responsibilities:
Manage the end-to-end credentialing and re-credentialing process for healthcare providers
Verify provider licenses, certifications, education, and work history through primary source verification
Maintain accurate and up-to-date provider records in credentialing databases and systems
Coordinate with medical staff, provider relations, and health plan partners to ensure timely credentialing approvals
Monitor expiring credentials, licenses, and certifications to ensure ongoing compliance
Prepare and submit credentialing applications to health plans, hospitals, and managed care organizations
Respond to credentialing inquiries and resolve discrepancies in provider documentation
Requirements:
Prior experience in medical credentialing, provider enrollment, or a related healthcare administrative role
Familiarity with NCQA, URAC, or JCAHO credentialing standards preferred
Proficiency with credentialing software and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to handle confidential provider information with discretion and professionalism
Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-departmental coordination
Must be located in the Pacific Timezone
