We work with a diverse network of professionals—therapists, educators, and healthcare providers—to ensure children get the support they need during their critical developmental years.

    Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Credentialing Specialist to support both onboarding and ongoing credentialing of early intervention providers. This position plays a vital role in maintaining compliance with state, federal, and payer regulations by ensuring all providers are properly credentialed and re-credentialed in a timely manner.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Onboarding Credentialing

Process initial credentialing applications for new providers (SLPs, OTs, PTs, educators, etc.)

Verify education, licensure, certifications, background checks, and references

Collect and maintain all required documentation in compliance with state and payer standards

Coordinate with Human Resources and Clinical Supervisors to facilitate smooth onboarding

    Ongoing Credentialing

Monitor expiring licenses, certifications, and insurance documents

Initiate and process re-credentialing for Medicaid, commercial payers, and other agencies

Maintain up-to-date records in credentialing databases and provider files

Ensure timely updates to provider profiles with health plans and regulatory agencies

    Compliance & Communication

Maintain thorough understanding of state early intervention regulations and payer credentialing requirements

Communicate proactively with providers regarding documentation needs and deadlines

Prepare reports and audits to ensure compliance and data accuracy

Support audits from external agencies and internal quality reviews

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)

2+ years of experience in credentialing, healthcare administration, or early intervention services

Familiarity with Medicaid/insurance credentialing requirements and early intervention systems (e.g., EI Hub, NYEIS, or equivalent)

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Proficiency with credentialing software, Excel, and cloud-based document management systems

    Excellent communication and follow-up skills

    Preferred Skills:

Experience working in early childhood intervention or special education settings

Knowledge of HIPAA and other relevant healthcare regulations
