Job description

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Crew Leader to join our growing team. In this leadership role, you will supervise a crew of landscape laborers and ensure the efficient, high-quality completion of landscaping and maintenance projects. This position also includes winter snow and ice management responsibilities. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, detail-oriented, and capable of motivating a team while maintaining company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily activities of a landscape crew

Plan, organize, and prioritize daily tasks to ensure efficient workflow

Lead and participate in landscape renovations, installations, trimming, planting, mulching, and general maintenance

Oversee implementation of landscape projects from start to finish

Train crew members on proper techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures

Monitor work quality and ensure adherence to company standards

Conduct regular site inspections to identify maintenance needs or improvements

Manage equipment usage, inventory, basic maintenance, and report repair needs

Communicate effectively with management regarding job progress and challenges

Operate dump truck for commercial snow plowing and salting routes during winter season

Manage assigned commercial snow and ice management routes efficiently and safely

Ensure proper application rates and safe driving practices

Be available on-call during snow events, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required

Required Qualifications

Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role

Minimum of 3 years experience running commercial snow plow and salt routes using a dump truck

Strong knowledge of plants, landscaping practices, and maintenance techniques

Proficiency in operating landscaping equipment and tools

Experience operating snow plows, salt spreaders, and related winter equipment

Excellent communication and leadership skills

Ability to delegate tasks clearly and effectively

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Valid driver’s license

About Us We are a full-service landscaping company equipped with modern, well-maintained equipment—including a mulch blower—to help crews work efficiently. We also utilize additional labor support, allowing crew leaders to focus on organization, quality, and project execution year-round.

Compensation

$25.00 – $30.00 per hour, based on experience
