Job Summary:
The Crew Lead is responsible for assisting the Superintendent and Project Manager in oversight of daily operations of a designated crew, ensuring tasks are completed on time, and to Maas Verde’s quality standards. This role involves providing guidance and support to crew members, ensuring a safe and productive work environment, and working within a collaborative and growth-oriented team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Crew Supervision:
* Motivate crew members to achieve project goals.
* Ensure efficient workflow.
* Monitor and assess the performance of crew members, providing training and demonstration as needed.
* Ensure all tasks are completed according to Maas Verde quality standards.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the project.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure crew members adhere to safety regulations.
- Reference employee handbook and OSHA standards
- Report any accidents, injuries, or safety violations to management promptly.
- Communication:
- Communicate project updates, changes, and other relevant information to crew members, superintendents and project managers.
- All communication should be through Slack messaging
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Encourage crew members to ask questions or seek information that they may lack.
- Resource Management:
- Manage the allocation and use of materials, tools, and equipment.
- Maintain inventory and supplies.
- Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
- Encourage crew members to properly maintain and store tools and equipment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in relevant field preferred.
- Proficiency in using relevant tools and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Requirements:
- OSHA 10-hour certified or able to be certified with 60 days of employment
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Capacity to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Bilingual in Spanish Preferred
Working Conditions:
- Typical work hours 35-40 hours a week, with potential for overtime or weekend work as required.
- Work is performed outdoors in various weather conditions.
