Job Title: Commercial Grounds Maintenance (CGM) Crew Member - Charlotte Region

Position Overview
The Commercial Grounds Maintenance (CGM) Crew Member is a hands-on landscaping position assisting with year-round commercial landscaping maintenance services.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assist the Crew Leader in training on all aspects of commercial grounds maintenance
Digging, planting, raking, watering, and general clean-up of landscapes.
Load and unload heavy equipment and planting materials from trucks.
Ensure collection and inventory of company-owned equipment and tools daily
Assist in other divisions such as installation or floriculture, as needed.
Assist with snow removal operations during winter months, as required.
Maintain reliable transportation to and from the branch location.
Ensure the safe operation and basic routine maintenance of the following equipment:
Mowers: Push, walk-behind, and ride-on mowers
Turf Equipment: Tillers, aerators, and slit seeders
Power Tools: Edgers, string trimmers, chainsaws, backpack blowers, sprayers
Hand Tools: Shovels, picks, rakes, and pruning tools

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basis.
Ability to bend and stoop on a continual basis.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to work around environmental risks such as bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must wear sturdy shoes, company-issued uniforms, and required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Must present oneself in a professional and polite manner.
Must practice strict safety protocols when handling chemicals and operating equipment.
Must wear company-provided eye and ear protection as required.
Valid NC Driver’s license with a maintained clean driving record (CDL preferred).
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Willingness to obtain an NCDA pesticide applicator’s license.
Good communication skills and the ability to motivate others.
Must comply with all Bland Landscaping Company policies and procedures.
