Crew Member Driver - Commercial Grounds Maintenance (CGM)

Position Overview

This program is designed to bridge the gap between field execution and team leadership. You will work alongside experienced crews, sharpen your technical skills while learning the management practices needed to run your own crew.

Key Responsibilities & Expectations

Field Leadership & Communication

• Team Motivation: Demonstrate strong communication skills and a positive attitude to help motivate crew members and maintain high morale.

• Professional Presence: Wear the provided Bland Landscaping uniform, maintain sturdy work boots, and always present yourself in a clean, polite, and professional manner to clients and team members.

• Company Alignment: Adhere to and enforce all of Bland Landscaping's corporate policies, procedures, and core values.

Safety & Equipment Operations

• Equipment & Chemical Safety: Practice and promote absolute safety when handling landscape equipment, machinery, and commercial chemicals.

• PPE Compliance: Consistently wear all company-provided personal protective equipment (PPE), including eye and ear protection, as required by safety tasks.

Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation: $16 - $ 20 per hour

• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) on a routine basis.

• Ability to bend, stoop, and perform repetitive physical tasks on a continual basis.

• Ability to work comfortably outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, rain, cold).

• Ability to work in environments with common outdoor risks, including bees, poison ivy, pollen, and thorns.

Required Experience

Qualifications & Licenses

• Licensing Goal: Must be willing to study for and obtain a Pesticide Applicator’s License

• Driving Record: A valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record are highly preferred.

• Background Check: Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check.
