Position Summary:

This role is more than just a Crew Member, it is the opportunity to join a family, and act as a brand ambassador for bridging cultures through food. We are looking for someone to provide exceptional customer service while helping customers order dishes, prepare and package all orders for customer delivery. You will work in a fast-paced environment, handling a variety of tasks such as order taking, food preparation and ensuring cleanliness throughout the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately (both in person and over the phone or via online platforms) and answer any questions about the menu or restaurant policies.

Order preparation: Assist in preparing food items according to the restaurant’s recipes and quality standards. This may include assembling sandwiches, salads or other to go meals

Packing and Presentation: Properly package food orders for takeout or delivery, ensuring accuracy and maintaining food quality, appearance and freshness during transport

Cashier Duties: Handle payments efficiently, whether via cash, credit card, or digital platforms. Balance the cash drawer at the end of your shift and maintain accurate transaction records

Cleanliness and Maintenance: Keep the restaurant clean and organized including the front counter, prep areas, and any common spaces. Follow all sanitation procedures to ensure food safety

Stocking and Inventory: Replenish supplies such as condiments, utensils, packing materials and other items necessary for daily operations. Assist with inventory management and restocking as needed.

Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow, particularly during peak hours

Problem Solving: Address customer concerns or complaints in a professional manner and escalate issues to the manager when necessary

Skills and Qualifications:

Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable attitude

Prior experience in a food service or to-go restaurant setting (preferred)

Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment

Basic math skills for handling transactions and balancing the cash drawer

Familiarity with food safety standards and procedures

Ability to acquire a California Food Handlers, Sexual Harassment Certification and Responsible Beverage Certification (before or within 2 weeks of hire)

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate weight items

Good communication skills and team-oriented mindset
