    Job Title: Assistant Operations Manager

     

    Company: Crew One Productions is one of the largest technical staffing sources in the Southeast for concerts, corporate events, trade shows, and festivals. We provide the personnel responsible for setting up audio, video, and lighting components, staging, rigging and various other aspects of live entertainment/event production. Our clients are some of the world’s leading entertainment and concert promoters, including Live Nation and AEG Presents. Some of the venues we provide crew for in the Atlanta market include State Farm Arena, Gas South Arena, Truist Park, and Mercedes-Benz Stadium. We also have offices in Nashville, Memphis, and Chattanooga and provide crewing solutions for festivals countrywide, such as Bonnaroo, Lost Lands, and The Hangout Music Festival.

     

    Overview: The Assistant Operations Manager will work closely with the Operations Manager to assist and provide support in various administrative functions, and to help organize and coordinate efforts to facilitate productivity within the business. This position requires someone who is highly organized, detail oriented, has a strong ability to multitask, is multifaceted, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. The Assistant Operations Manager builds, maintains, and establishes quality production labor crews comprised of independent contractors for various events. This position requires sustaining a working knowledge of general booking policies for industry labor production crews, and a complete understanding of Crew One booking policies and procedures. Effective typing skills and an operational understanding of Microsoft Office Suite programs is a must. Second to the Operations Manager, the Assistant Operations Manager is a team player, with the leadership ability to go above and beyond in a fast-past environment.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Translate labor advances to determine the labor needs for confirmed events

    • Work with Operations Manager to book and schedule contractors for confirmed events of various crew sizes

    • Determine and schedule the most skilled contractors for each call, as needed

    • Need to be available and on-call for crew needs on weekends and after-hours during event days, when necessary

    • Operate custom, company-wide computer software and use it to update, schedule, maintain, and track contractor records

    • Organize and Review New Contractor Applications

    • Conduct and Facilitate New Contractor Orientations

    • Along with other office staff, administer one-on-ones with each potential new contractor during New Contractor Orientations

    • Create and send call sheets to all Project Coordinators supervising each job

    • Communicate directly with contractors to answer any questions regarding scheduling and to resolve any issues and address any concerns

    • Report and inform the Operations Manager of any special or unusual situations involving calls or contractors, as needed

    • Continually monitor and book calls during non-business hours for maximum efficiency, as needed, from home

    • Work with Crew One Office Team to execute administrative tasks like:

         o Maintain record keeping of all events and applicable documentation for work in the Atlanta area

         o Maintain and monitor gas expenditures for out-of-state trips taken by contractors

         o Make van, bus, & hotel reservations for contractors when necessary

         o Answer incoming calls

         o Reconcile returned contractor 1099’s during tax season

         o Maintain inventory of contractor PPE (e.g., high visibility vests)

         o Maintain a positive work environment in the office and at the job sites

         o Assists others in the office to facilitate office productivity

     

    Pay and Benefits:

    • This is a full-time, hourly position (payroll is biweekly) with review in 1 year. Overtime is paid if you work over 40 hours in one week or are working during a nationally recognized holiday.

    • Bonuses have been paid based on performance of the employee and the company from the previous year usually during Q1 of the following year.
