Job Description

A Digital Video editor at Cricut® is a master visual storyteller in a collaborative environment that will have a direct impact the brand. This role will facilitate and execute duties in all phases of video and photography production but will focus mainly on editing, color grading, retouching and compositing. This is primarily a VIDEO editing role, however a candidate with PHOTOGRAPHY retouching, and digital compositing skills will be considered first. You will work closely with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Project Managers, Photographers and Videographers, across multiple teams to post high quality, high priority, creative video and photography assets.

Responsibilities

· Work closely with onset crew acting as DIT and potentially camera operator/first AC

· Work closely with the video director/creative team to manage footage, dailies, assembly, rough, fine, and final cuts

· Communicate with key stakeholders during every phase of post-production

· Ensure that brand guidelines are consistently met

· Render and deliver final assets on spec and on time

· Deliver content to internal DAM/archive systems

Qualifications

· 5+ years of digital video editing experience

· Excellent technical skills with Adobe Creative Suite - Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.

· Working knowledge of Davinci Resolve is a plus

· Excellent attention to detail

· Ability to execute multiple projects at a time

· Digital asset/file management

· Correction profiles, LUT’s and creative looks

· Video codecs and render profiles

· Production of CC tracks and .SRT files

· Must be a team player, willing to pitch in wherever needed

· Abide by company core values

· Must possess self-motivated creativity and strategic thinking in a fast-paced environment
