Responsibilities: • Conduct face-to-face meetings with clients, whether at the office or detention centers, to assess their legal requirements and develop an optimal case strategy. • Supervise a diverse caseload that covers misdemeanors and felonies, managing each case from inception to resolution. • Attend hearings and trials conducted in state courts located in Northern Virginia to represent clients effectively. • Support clients by preparing, filing, and presenting legal documents such as court motions and memoranda to state judges in Northern Virginia. Qualifications: • Admission to the Virginia State Bar. • A minimum of 5 years of experience in criminal defense is preferred, which should include handling felony cases and conducting jury trials. • Proven track record of effectively handling both state and federal criminal cases is essential. • Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must for successful client representation in and out of the courtroom. Compensation: $115,000+ annually
